Access from Lab Computers
As an SECS account holder you have access to a network drive for your files (also called your home directory). We map this as drive H: on all the lab machines. It is import when using Lab computers to save to your network drive, this will ensure that you have access to your files on other computers.
Remote Access
You can access your from outside the network by using the Transferring Files tutorial. Or by mapping your network drive over a VPN connection.
Web Hosting
You can also create a folder in your network drive, that will allow you to host your own web-site on the secs.oakland.edu server.
Shared Folders
You can create a shared folder that will allow you to easily share files with other SECS account holders.
