MEMORANDUM
DATE: November 7, 2005
TO: SECS Students
FROM: James Quinlan
- Electronic Services Office
SUBJECT: Electronic Locks
Please be advised of the new card swipe access system for laboratories equipped with electronic locks. The following labs are affected:
DHE: 147, 164, 239, 240, 241, 242, 245 SEB: 105, 133
All students who need computer lab access should visit cto.secs.oakland.edu and register their ID card. The CTO office maintains a database of students and their Card IDs. Professors who wish for their students to use these laboratories should send their class lists, and the needed lab rooms, to James Quinlan via email or mailbox.
If a student has their ID card registered, and their professor has sent the class list, the student will be given access to the labs. Please allow one week for programming. To access a lab, a student will need to swipe their Grizzly card through the reader on the door (black magnetic stripe faces right and travels in the lock slot). The locks will be deprogrammed at the end of a semester.
The glass door to the upstairs computer labs has a combination code. It has been given out to CSE faculty. Only your professor can give you this code.
